This new venture sees the band treading some familiar ground, paying homage to their stone-age influences, whilst also treating the songs with some very slick 2023/24 production, courtesy of engineer/co-producer Michael Carpenter from The House Studios in Sydney, Australia. The album floors the listener from the get-go, with the Detroit-inspired scorching track INVISIBLE HAND. The pace continues to build on the next track with the garage-swamp tune OFF YOUR ROCKER, with its scathing lyrics condemning our fractured society. The hits just keep flowing with hooky, melodic tunes like SOME STORMS COME TO CLEAR YOUR PATH and the frenzied RAGADOLL. There's even a trademark power pop track on this gem of an album, with the closing track SHADES OF LIPSTICK. In fact, this is a "listener's album" but also an album with back-to-back, catchy hits, with 60's and 70's rock influences sprinkled throughout. There really is no 'filler' on this album, only different colours and moods to please the most discerning critic. If THE SONICS, THE HELLACOPTERS and RADIO BIRDMAN had a baby, this would be the end result, LOL. Get this one while it's HOT!!!
